Press release on the Buddha-Statue-Exhibition in the European Parliament: "Timless Values" In the autumn of 2008 the Diamond Way Buddhist Foundation organized a remarkable exhibition. More than forty carefully selected Himalayan pieces of art were presented in the very heart of Europe - The European Parliament in Brussels. The exhibits from Tibet, Nepal and India, of which some are several hundred years old, took the visitor into a fascinating world; all under the title "Timeless Values". Exhibited for the very first time ever was, among others, a golden Stupa gemmed with turquoise - a timeless symbol of happiness and freedom. All buddha aspects shown in the exhibition express ideal mental qualities like love and compassion, courage and activity, wisdom and timeless joy. During the opening ceremony on October, 7th Lama Ole The exhibition attracted the interest of the public very much during the following days as well. The President of the Tibet Intergroup of the European Parliament Thomas Mann, other MEPs and the Committee of Regions as well as many other people from all arrays of European life in Brussels were very impressed and inspired while touring through the powerfield of these buddhist statues. Thomas Mann resumed: "The statues express the peaceful character of this regional, Asian culture."
